Nut‑Aware School Information
Nut‑Aware School Information
At our school, student safety is our highest priority. To support the health and well‑being of all learners, we are a nut‑aware environment. Several students in our K–5 community have severe, life‑threatening allergies to peanuts and tree nuts.
Food Sharing Expectations
To ensure the safety of all students:
- Food, snacks, and candies may not be shared at school unless a teacher has given direct approval.
- Teachers will review all shared items to ensure they are safe for students with allergies.
- This applies to birthday treats, seasonal celebrations, and any food brought from home.
How Families Can Help
We respectfully ask parents and caregivers to:
- Avoid sending nut‑based products whenever possible.
- Remind children not to share their snacks or lunches.
- Contact the classroom teacher before sending treats or food for class activities.
Together for a Safer School
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and inclusive environment where every student is protected. Your cooperation helps ensure that all children can participate fully and safely in school life.
